The Magic of U-Pick Season at Blooming Hill Lavender Farm

Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 6, 2026, because the highly anticipated annual U-Pick Lavender Season is officially kicking off at Blooming Hill Lavender Farm in Purcellville! Running every Friday and Saturday throughout the peak June bloom, this beloved local tradition invites you to wander through a stunning landscape packed with over 1,000 lavender plants. With more than 90 unique varieties of lavender on-site, you can cut your own fragrant, fresh bouquets straight from the stem while snapping beautiful photos in the sun-drenched fields. After harvesting your bundle, you can explore the charming on-site Garden Gift Shop, which features hand-crafted lavender soaps, essential oils, and specialized garden plants to take a piece of the farm home with you.

Visiting Hours

The farm is strictly open to the public on two days a week:

Blooming Hill Lavender Farm

  • Fridays: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  • Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Walk-In Guidelines

  • No Advanced Booking: You do not need to register online to cut lavender.

  • Check-In First: Simply arrive and stop by the Garden Gift Shop or farm stand before heading to the rows. The staff will provide cutting instructions, demonstrate the proper technique to protect the plants, and hand you scissors.

  • Fees: Admission onto the farm property is completely free, and you only pay for the individual bundles of lavender stems that you cut.
